About this bursary
The Accenture Education Trust Scholarship offers full financial support to high-achieving South African students pursuing degrees in technology and engineering. The bursary pays for tuition, registration, residence accommodation, daily meals, textbooks, and a laptop allowance.
This programme focuses on senior undergraduate and Honours students studying at selected South African universities. Beyond funding, successful candidates benefit from structured professional mentorship throughout their academic journey to help prepare them for the tech industry.
Specific family income criteria apply to both undergraduate and postgraduate applicants. Candidates must also meet academic minimums and study at one of eight approved public universities.

Who can apply
You qualify if
- South African citizenship is required.
- Applicants must have completed matric.
- You must be enrolled full-time in an eligible technology or engineering degree.
- You must be in your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or Honours year of tertiary study.
- You must study at Rhodes, Stellenbosch, UCT, UJ, UP, Wits, UKZN, or UWC.
- Candidates must hold an overall academic average of at least 65%.
- Undergraduate applicants require a gross family income between R350 000 and R1 million per year.
- Postgraduate NSFAS applicants must have a total household income below R300 000 annually.
You do not qualify if
- First-year undergraduate students cannot apply.
- Students attending unlisted or private institutions are ineligible.
- Applicants with an overall academic average under 65% will not be considered.
- Non-South African citizens are not eligible.

- Certified proof of household income if parents earn under R600 000 yearly
- Latest income tax returns if parents earn under R1 million yearly
