The NYDA Grant Programme funds youth-owned start-ups and micro-enterprises with grants from R1,000 to R250,000. The Mid-Year Voucher Programme adds a shorter voucher round for equipment, stock, and business services. This tool checks whether you meet the core rules for both.

NYDA funds South Africans aged 18 to 35.
NYDA core rules
- You must be aged 18 to 35 and a South African citizen.
- You must own at least 51% of the business.
- NYDA funds start-ups, informal micro-enterprises, and cooperatives. It does not fund pure business plans without an operational base.
- You must complete NYDA-approved business management and financial literacy training before funds release.
- The Mid-Year Voucher round issues vouchers up to R50,000 for equipment, stock, or business development services.
