About this bursary

The Actom Bursary supports South African students entering their final year of Electrical Engineering studies at a University of Technology. Provided by ACTOM (Pty) Ltd, a manufacturer and distributor of electro-mechanical equipment in Africa, the funding assists eligible students from target municipalities in the North West province for the 2027 academic year.

This opportunity is strictly aimed at candidates residing within the Madibeng, Moses Kotane, or Rustenburg local municipalities who will be in their final year of undergraduate study.

Who can apply

You qualify if

  • You must be a South African citizen.
  • You must live in Madibeng Local Municipality, Moses Kotane Local Municipality, or Rustenburg Local Municipality in the North West province.
  • You must be studying towards an undergraduate Electrical Engineering qualification.
  • You must be enrolled at a University of Technology.
  • You must be entering your final year of study in 2027.

You do not qualify if

  • Students residing outside the specified North West municipalities will not be considered.
  • Students not studying at a University of Technology.
  • Students who are not in their final academic year in 2027.

  • Certified copy of South African ID document
  • Full official academic record

Clear and compulsory copies of all supporting documents must be attached.
