About this bursary

Afrimat CM Eastern Cape provides financial assistance to undergraduate tertiary students through the Denver Quarry bursary program. Funding is allocated for qualifications in engineering, finance, and human resources.

Who can apply

You qualify if

  • You must hold South African citizenship.
  • Your primary home must be inside the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality.
  • You must have successfully completed matric.
  • You must be registered or accepted at a recognized public university or university of technology in South Africa.
  • Your studies must lead to a degree or national diploma in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, finance, or human resources.
  • You need an academic average of at least 60% from your 2025 study year.
  • You must satisfy the medical fitness criteria required by company standards and the Mine Health and Safety Act.

You do not qualify if

  • Applicants residing outside the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Municipality do not qualify.
  • Students attending private higher education institutions are not eligible.
  • Candidates with an academic average below 60% will be disqualified.
