Who can apply

You qualify if

  • Applicants must be South African citizens studying full-time at an accredited tertiary institution.
  • You must enter your final year of a four-year undergraduate degree or an honours degree (NQF level 8) in 2027.
  • Eligible fields of study are Data Science, Data Analytics, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Transportation Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Statistics.
  • You must maintain a minimum overall academic average of 70% across your 2025 final examinations and 2026 first-semester tests.
  • Demonstrable financial need is required for consideration.

You do not qualify if

  • Non-South African citizens are ineligible.
  • Students studying part-time or distance learning degrees do not qualify.
  • Applicants entering first, second, or third year of a standard three-year degree cannot apply.
  • Candidates with an overall academic average below 70% will not be selected.

Documents you need to submit

  • Certified copy of South African ID document
  • Certified copy of full academic transcripts and records
  • Certified proof of household income (recent payslips, employer letter, tax statements, or unemployment affidavit)
  • Certified copy of death certificates if parents or legal guardians are deceased
  • Certified copy of divorce decree if parents are divorced
  • Sworn affidavit if parents are separated
  • Clear head and shoulders profile photograph
  • Certified proof of residential address

All supporting documents must be certified copies uploaded directly through the online application portal.
