About this bursary

Botshelo Safety is offering bursary funding to current matric learners attending host community schools in Rustenburg for the 2027 academic year. The organization is a black-woman-owned health and safety solutions firm based in the North West province.

Who can apply

You qualify if

  • You must be a South African citizen.
  • You must reside within a designated Rustenburg host community.
  • You must be in matric during 2026 at a recognised host community school.
  • You must intend to study full-time towards a diploma in an eligible field during 2027.
  • You must plan to study at an accredited public South African tertiary institution.
  • You must meet the academic entry requirements for your selected diploma course.
  • You must show proven financial need.
  • You must not hold another full bursary or scholarship for 2027.

You do not qualify if

  • Students residing outside Rustenburg host communities.
  • Applicants intending to study towards degree or postgraduate qualifications.
  • Students receiving full bursary support from another provider for 2027.

Documents you need to submit

  • Completed and signed application form
  • Certified copy of South African ID document
  • Latest Matric examination results statement
  • Official school confirmation letter
  • Proof of tertiary application or acceptance letter
  • Proof of residential address not older than three months
  • Motivational letter written by the applicant
  • Certified copies of parent or guardian ID documents
  • Proof of household income or an affidavit confirming unemployment
  • Signed POPIA consent and declaration form
  • Parent or guardian consent form if applicant is under 18 years old
