About this bursary
The Cisco Charitable Foundation Trust South Africa provides funding to help local students complete qualifications in technology. The programme is managed by StudyTrust on behalf of Cisco.
This opportunity targets students in the missing middle category, whose household income falls between R350 000 and R600 000 per year. It aims to widen access to tertiary education in tech-related disciplines across South Africa.
Funding covers undergraduate and post-graduate studies up to NQF level 8. Applicants can study at any public university or registered private higher education institution in the country.

Who can apply
You qualify if
- You must hold South African citizenship.
- You need to have passed Matric or currently be completing your final year of high school.
- You must intend to study or already be studying towards a qualified degree in IT, software engineering, computer science, or computer engineering.
- Studies must fall within 1st to 4th year level (including B Tech at NQF 7 and Honours at NQF 8).
- You must be accepted or enrolled at a South African public institution or a registered private tertiary institution.
- Applicants need a strong academic record and must prove financial need with a combined annual household income between R350 000 and R600 000.
You do not qualify if
- Non-South African citizens are not eligible.
- Applicants with a combined annual household income below R350 000 or above R600 000 will not be considered.

- Full tertiary academic record if you are currently studying
- Proof of acceptance or registration at a recognized higher education institution
- Proof of household income (recent payslips, unemployment affidavit, business financial statements, or SASSA grant letters)
