Who can apply

You qualify if

  • You must hold South African citizenship or permanent resident status.
  • You need to study full-time at an accredited South African university.
  • LLB candidates must enter their second year or above.
  • BA Law and BCom Law candidates must enter their third year or above.
  • You must maintain a minimum overall academic mark of 65%.
  • You need to demonstrate verified financial need.

You do not qualify if

  • First-year LLB students cannot apply.
  • First or second-year BA Law and BCom Law students do not qualify.
  • Students studying at private or unaccredited institutions are excluded.
  • Applicants with an academic average under 65% will not be considered.

  • Full official university academic transcript printed on university letterhead
