About this bursary
The Dube TradePort Corporation offers financial support to South African students living in KwaZulu-Natal. The programme supports full-time undergraduate studies in technical, agricultural, and technological fields.
Dube TradePort operates a major special economic zone near King Shaka International Airport. Through this bursary, the provincial entity aims to develop critical skills in KZN and assist students who demonstrate clear financial need.
Funding is restricted to four public universities within KZN. Students who qualify for NSFAS assistance are not eligible for this opportunity.

Who can apply
You qualify if
- You must be a South African citizen aged between 18 and 34 years.
- You must reside within the KwaZulu-Natal province.
- You must be pursuing or planning to pursue an undergraduate qualification in an eligible field.
- You must be in your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study.
- You must study or intend to study at DUT, MUT, UKZN, or UniZulu.
- You must have a strong academic record and proven financial need.
- You must not qualify for NSFAS funding.
You do not qualify if
- Students who qualify for NSFAS funding are not eligible.
- Non-South African citizens or residents outside KwaZulu-Natal cannot apply.
- Postgraduate students and those enrolled at private institutions or universities outside KZN are excluded.
Documents you need to submit
- Certified copy of your South African ID document
- Latest Matric results if currently in Grade 12
- Matric certificate and complete academic record if currently at university
- Official proof of university registration
- Statement of university tuition fees
- Course curriculum showing course duration and required modules
- Proof of income for parents or guardians, unemployment affidavit, or death certificate if deceased
- Letter of motivation explaining your personal background and need for funding
