About this bursary

Evander Gold Mining provides complete financial backing for university students studying select engineering and science qualifications. Managed under Pan African Resources, the bursary covers major academic and living expenses for full-time students.

The funding target includes South Africans who perform well academically, face financial constraints, and intend to work within the mining sector. Grants apply to the 2027 academic period.

Bursary holders also gain practical industry exposure by taking part in vacation work programs at the mine site during holiday breaks.

Who can apply

You qualify if

  • Hold valid South African citizenship.
  • Be currently registered for a BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Geology.
  • Maintain strong academic results in your current university studies.
  • Prove clear financial need.
  • Express a firm intention to build a professional career in mining.

You do not qualify if

  • Foreign nationals or students without South African citizenship.
  • Students registered in degrees other than Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Geology.
