About this bursary
Glencore South Africa offers bursary funding through its Alloys Division for students pursuing engineering degrees. The programme covers core academic costs, daily living expenses, and study supplies.
The funding is targeted at young South Africans looking to build careers in the natural resources and metals processing sectors. It provides comprehensive financial support throughout the undergraduate qualification.
Students in their second year of university or higher can also qualify for computer funding if a personal computer is required for their coursework.

Who can apply
You qualify if
- You must be currently in Matric or have completed your Matric qualification.
- You must be enrolled or planning to enroll full-time in an accredited undergraduate engineering degree at a South African tertiary institution.
- You must have achieved at least 60% to 69% (C symbol Higher Grade) in Mathematics.
- You must have achieved at least 60% to 69% (C symbol Higher Grade) in Physical Science.
- You must not be receiving bursary funding from another organization.
You do not qualify if
- Students holding existing bursaries or financial sponsorship from other sources cannot qualify.
- Applicants studying fields outside of chemical engineering or electrical engineering are not eligible.
