About this bursary
Hortgro provides financial assistance for South African students entering or pursuing qualifications in the deciduous fruit and agricultural sectors. The bursary programme helps train future specialists across fruit production, research, and post-harvest management.
The initiative aims to build technical expertise to support the long-term growth of South African fruit growers. Funding targets students focused on practical, scientific, and managerial qualifications in farming and related sciences.
Recipients gain access to an industry mentor who guides them throughout their studies. Continued funding depends on solid academic results and participation in company events.
