About this bursary
The Impembelelo Trust, operating under Carbon Trust Africa, offers postgraduate bursaries for South African students entering environmental, scientific, engineering, and economic fields. The programme funds full-time Honours, Masters, and Doctoral qualifications.
The trust focuses on developing skills that support South Africa's transition to a sustainable, low-carbon economy. Funding is awarded either as full cost of study or partial cost of study, depending on academic standing and financial background.
Applicants must come from historically disadvantaged backgrounds (African, Coloured, or Indian) or be living with a disability. Payment of registration and early fees goes directly to the university once official invoices are received.
