About this bursary
The KwaZulu-Natal Tourism and Film Authority funds local students pursuing qualifications in media, animation, drama, tourism, and interactive digital arts. The funding covers tertiary tuition fees, university accommodation, and a monthly living stipend.
Originally launched to address critical talent shortages in the province's creative economy, the programme assists young people preparing for careers in television, film, and hospitality. All funded studies must take place at recognized public or private tertiary bodies situated inside KwaZulu-Natal.
Disabled candidates and applicants from previously disadvantaged communities receive priority consideration during the review process.
