About this bursary
Liberty provides comprehensive financial support to students pursuing undergraduate qualifications in Actuarial Science at accredited South African universities. The scheme pays for core study fees, living expenses, and practical exposure.

Who can apply
You qualify if
- Applicants must hold South African citizenship through birth or descent.
- You need a matric certificate and active full-time enrollment in an Actuarial Science degree at an accredited university.
- This opportunity is open to students entering their second year or higher in 2027.
- Academic criteria require a minimum score of 65% in mathematical and actuarial modules.
- An overall average of at least 60% across tertiary studies is necessary.
- Candidates should show leadership skills and exposure to financial analysis or quantitative research.
- Participation in sports, olympiads, debating, or other extra-curricular activities provides an added advantage.
You do not qualify if
- Non-South African citizens are ineligible.
- First-year students entering their first year of tertiary study in 2027 cannot apply.
- Applicants with academic averages below 60% or math module marks under 65% will not be considered.
