About this bursary
The Mulilo Bursary supports students living in specific Northern Cape communities who wish to pursue tertiary or vocational studies. Mulilo is a South African renewable energy company focused on developing wind and solar power projects across the country.
The bursary programme aims to help talented young people from local towns near Mulilo's operations gain qualifications in any field of study. It helps build skills and creates opportunities for youth in the surrounding communities.
Funding is restricted to residents of three specific municipalities in the Northern Cape. Candidates can study at accredited public universities, TVET colleges, or trade institutions across South Africa.

Who can apply
You qualify if
- You must be a South African citizen.
- You must live permanently in the Northern Cape within the Emthanjeni, Renosterberg, or Siyathemba municipality.
- You must currently be in Grade 12 or have completed Matric.
- You must intend to study or currently be studying towards a qualification in any field.
- You must have applied or registered at an accredited South African tertiary or trade institution.
You do not qualify if
- Applicants residing outside the Emthanjeni, Renosterberg, or Siyathemba municipalities will not be considered.
- Students attending unaccredited or private institutions are ineligible.
- Non-South African citizens cannot apply.
Documents you need to submit
- Certified copy of your South African ID document
- Latest Grade 12 results if currently in Matric
- Matric certificate if you have completed school
- Full academic transcript if currently studying at tertiary level
- Proof of residential address such as a utility bill or municipal statement
- Parents or guardians proof of household income
- Official fee statement for tuition and accommodation
- Sworn affidavit confirming address catchment area, declaration of no other funding, and first-time registration status
