Who can apply
You qualify if
- Applicants must hold South African citizenship and have completed matric.
- Candidates must come from a financially disadvantaged household background.
- You need to be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification within an approved field.
- Bursaries are only available to students who have finished their first year and are entering their second or higher academic year.
- All studies must take place at an accredited South African tertiary institution.
- Candidates must display strong academic achievements across their previous tertiary results.
You do not qualify if
- First-year undergraduate students.
- Non-South African citizens.
- Students studying at unaccredited or private institutions.
Documents you need to submit
- Certified copy of South African identity document
- Certified copy of Matric certificate
- Official university academic record on institution letterhead
- Certified copies of parents or guardians identity documents
- Proof of household income such as payslips or unemployment affidavits
- Certified copies of ID documents or birth certificates for all household members
