You qualify if
- Applicants must hold South African citizenship.
- You must be enrolled full-time at an accredited South African public university.
- You need to be entering your third year of undergraduate study, or pursuing Honours or Masters studies.
- You must maintain a strong academic record with high overall marks.
- Female students and candidates with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
You do not qualify if
- First-year and second-year undergraduate students.
- Non-South African citizens.
- Part-time students or students enrolled at private higher education institutions.

- Certified copy of South African identity document
- Matric statement of results and certificate
- Official tertiary academic records from first year to latest results
- Copies of tertiary qualifications if already obtained
- Written motivational letter as specified on the application form
