About this bursary
Ninety One offers the #Changeblazer bursary scheme for South African students entering their first year of undergraduate study in 2027. The funding pays for university tuition, accommodation, meals, and course materials.
The programme supports matriculants who face financial constraints. It targets candidates with leadership potential and strong academic performance across fields such as business, engineering, technology, and healthcare.
Career Wise handles the administration and selection process. Beyond financial aid, students receive academic mentoring, career advice, and personal development training.

Who can apply
You qualify if
- You must be a South African citizen under 21 years old in 2027.
- You must currently be in Grade 12 and entering your first year of university in 2027.
- You must plan to study full-time at an accredited South African public university.
- Gross annual household income must not exceed R600 000.
- Applicants should preferably achieve at least 70% in Grade 11 English and Mathematics or Sciences.
- You must satisfy the entry requirements for your chosen qualification.
You do not qualify if
- Postgraduate applicants.
- Students pursuing Medicine, Dentistry, or Veterinary Science.
- Non-South African citizens.
- Students already enrolled in university beyond matric.

- Certified copy of Grade 11 final report
- Certified copy of latest Grade 12 results
- Proof of university application or registration for 2027
- Proof of household income such as payslips, affidavits, or SASSA letters
