About this bursary
The South African Road Federation offers partial financial support to students enrolled in road transport fields. Funding amounts are calculated using individual financial needs alongside decisions from the federation council.

Who can apply
You qualify if
- South African residents receive preference, though citizens from SADC member countries may also apply.
- You must study towards a qualification in an approved road transport or engineering discipline.
- Enrollment at an accredited public university or university of technology in South Africa is compulsory.
- National Diploma students must have completed their S1 semester examinations.
- Degree students need to have passed their complete first-year examinations.
- Preference is given to postgraduate candidates at MTech or MSc levels, full-time students, and employees of federation member firms.
- Applicants must intend to work within the South African road transport sector after completing their qualifications.
You do not qualify if
- First-semester diploma students who have not completed S1 exams are ineligible.
- First-year degree students who have not passed their full first year do not qualify.
- Students pursuing qualifications outside the specified road transport disciplines will not be considered.
