Who can apply

You qualify if

  • You must be a South African citizen.
  • You must have recently completed your Matric examinations.
  • Strong academic performance in Mathematics and Science is required.
  • You must intend to study full-time at an accredited South African university.
  • Your chosen qualification must fall within engineering, geology, or finance.
  • You should demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a career within mining.
  • Preference is given to residents of Wards 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 49, 70, and 127.

You do not qualify if

  • Non-South African citizens are not eligible to apply.
  • Applications for unapproved fields of study will not be considered.
  • Incomplete submissions missing required supporting documents will be disqualified.
