Who can apply
You qualify if
- You must hold South African citizenship.
- You must come from an underprivileged background or belong to a historically disadvantaged group.
- You must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree at an accredited tertiary institution in South Africa.
- You must enter your final year of undergraduate study in the 2027 academic year.
- Your qualification must fall under one of the approved fields of study.
- You must maintain a minimum overall average mark of 70% in your latest examinations.
You do not qualify if
- Students entering first, second, or third year of study.
- Postgraduate students.
- Applicants with an overall mark average below 70%.
- Non-South African citizens.

- Certified copy of your South African ID document
- Recent head and shoulders photograph
- Matric final result statement or certificate
- Official academic transcript including 2026 Semester 1 results
- Proof of household income such as recent payslips or unemployed affidavits
